
Mr. Greene’s practice has been significantly concentrated in the area of Florida family law, both as a trial attorney and as a mediator. Most of his cases involve complex financial issues.
Mr. Greene has been admitted to practice in Florida since 1973 and has been admitted to the District of Columbia Bar since 1986. He was an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve (JAG) from 1972-1980. Among other areas of recognition, Mr. Greene was selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America in both the areas of family law (representation) and family law mediation. Best Lawyers in America, for over a quarter of a century, has been recognized as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. He continues to be selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Florida Legal Elite. This includes being selected as the 2020 Lawyer of the Year for Family Law, by Best Lawyers in America for St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mr. Greene has mediated in excess of 3500 cases and has substantial experience as an arbitrator in civil disputes. Mr. Greene’s background is sufficiently varied to have given him significant exposure and experience in finance, insurance, real estate, and general corporate matters. Mr. Greene has represented several major corporations in transactions, business formation, real estate acquisitions, and multiple litigation matters.
Mr. Greene’s current practice, in addition to the concentration within complex family law cases, includes probate and trust litigation.
He is a Federal Court certified mediator for the Middle District of Florida and is court certified as both a family and circuit civil mediator in the State of Florida. He is also certified as an arbitrator for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Mr. Greene is a frequent lecturer for continuing education courses as well as a periodic guest lecturer at Stetson University’s Law School on mediation, trial practice, negotiation, and family law.
In 2016, he presented to the 17th Annual International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, of which he is a member, in Amsterdam.
