She graduated first from Moscow State Law University and then, after practicing as a litigation attorney for a few years in Russia, earned her LLM /MCJ (Master of Comparative Jurisprudence) degree from New York University School of Law.

Ms. Buchman serves her community by participating in Pro-Bono organizations such as New York Legal Assistance Group, and also volunteers at the Civil Court of the City and State of New York and the Housing Court of NYC Kings county, representing indigent clients before these courts.

During her legal career, Ms. Buchman strived to help her clients resolve their differences amicably, without resorting to expensive and time- consuming judicial intervention. As the result, she developed exceptional listening and mediating skills.
