Important News for Certified Mediators

The Mediator Ethics Advisory Committee (MEAC) is a nine-member committee that issues written advisory ethics opinions for mediators subject to the Florida Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators.  See rule 10.910.

The MEAC is accepting applications for a vacancy for a certified mediator from the Central Division encompassing the Fifth, Seventh, Ninth, Tenth, Eighteenth, and Nineteenth Judicial Circuits.  The applicant shall not also serve on the Mediator Qualifications and Discipline Review Board.

The MEAC meets via conference call on the first Tuesday of the month from 12 noon – 1:30 pm EST with one in-person meeting a year.  Appointments are made by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida for a four-year term.
