Janis L. Rosser

Ms. Rosser is certified as a Circuit Civil Mediator, mediating disputes in the 6th Judicial Circuits. She is a member of the Florida Bar and member Emeritus of the Georgia Bar. Ms. Rosser, an AV rated attorney (Martindale-Hubbell) is an experienced commercial law attorney, having practiced more than 30 years in litigating contract disputes, collecting commercial debt, and resolving general legal matters. She served in the legal department of a large telecommunications corporation and practiced in her own law firm. She served as Chair of the Creditors’ Rights Section of the Georgia Bar for many years, presented numerous presentations for Georgia’s Continuing Legal Education programs, and wrote the HOW TO book “Setting the Stage for Successful Commercial Debt Collection,” disseminated by Institute of Continuing Legal Education CLE of Georgia. Ms. Rosser also served as a part-time landlord tenant judge in Fulton County Magistrate Court, as well as participating her entire career in Legal Aid Projects, most notably “Dollars for Judgments,” a program she developed to serve legal aid clients in collecting judgments. Education: Janis L. Rosser received her BS degree from Georgia State University, cum laude, in 1977 and her JD from Emory University in 1980, winning Moot Court’s Best Oralist award. She was admitted to the Georgia and Florida Bars in 1980.
