Dear FAPM Members

I hope this e-mail finds you well. I am an associate editor for the Stetson Journal of Advocacy and the Law, an exclusively online publication whose focus is on highlighting contemporary issues in the fields of advocacy and law. We actively seek articles from lawyers, professors, and judges who would share their expertise and write about topics they are passionate about.

I am writing to inquire if there are individuals in the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators who would be open to publishing articles they either have or are willing to write. Such contributions would be instrumental in educating Florida-based legal professionals on increasingly prevalent topics, like online dispute resolution or community mediation. Your valuable insights would not only advance specific interests or causes of the author(s) but also foster ties between your organization and Stetson University College of Law.

It is important to note that the Journal differs from a traditional law review. We prioritize practicality over theoretical aspects, and our articles are considerably shorter than typical law review articles, usually ranging between 3,000 and 10,000 words. Additionally, we provide support to the authors in formatting the articles, enabling them to focus solely on the substance. For your reference, or for sharing with interested parties, please find a link to our previous publications below.

Ideally, we would ask for a draft by August 21st, allowing our team sufficient time to review and format it for publication within the Journal this Fall semester. However, we are always considering articles submitted at any point for inclusion in later publications.

Attached is a flyer that provides further details about the purpose and requirements associated with submitting an article. Please feel free to share my contact information with anyone who may be interested. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your attention to this matter, I look forward to the possibility of collaborating with your organization.
