The Second Annual Florida Academy of Professional Mediators Dispute Resolution Webinar will be held by Zoom video conference on May 16, 2025 beginning at 8:45 a.m.  The webinar will feature prominent mediators and attorneys discussing current issues in mediation, including the following:

  • using the latest Zoom technology and functionality features for virtual mediations,
  • new and proposed rules applying to mediation and mediators pending approval or recently approved by the Florida Supreme Court,
  • effective techniques for closing the deal at mediation, and
  • techniques for being attuned to cultural difference issues and preventing conflict between parties during a mediation.

The FAPM has applied to the Florida Bar for 5 CLE credit hours for the webinar, and participating certified mediators should also be able to receive credit for 5 CME hours for attending the webinar.  The webinar will end at 3:00 p.m.  Participants will be able to pose questions to the speakers in the webinar chat.  The cost of the webinar is free to FAPM members and $75 to all other registrants.  Registrants who join the FAPM when they register for the webinar will not be charged for the webinar.  You may register for the webinar by clicking HERE.

  • Thomas A. (Tad) David is the director of the Dispute Resolution Center and chief of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • Dr. Chester Wilson is a Florida Supreme Court certified Family, Circuit Civil and County Court Mediator. Dr. Wilson previously taught at Bethune-Cookman University and currently teaches part time at Daytona State College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
  • Meah Tell is an adjunct professor at the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University and a General Practitioner/Bilingual Mediator and Arbitrator at Meah Rothman Tell, P.A., where she has mediated thousands of residential and commercial insurance cases, family cases, personal injury cases, employment cases, civil and commercial cases and appellate cases filed in Federal and State Court. Adjunct Professor Tell also serves as a member of the Florida Supreme Court ADR Rules & Policy Committee and the Florida Court Mediation Training Review Board.
  • Stanley Zamor is a former president of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators and is certified in Circuit, County and Family Court matters for the State of Florida. He’s a Florida Supreme Court Approved Primary Circuit Trainer (assistant Family/County Trainer) Qualified Arbitrator and is considered an ADR Expert by colleagues and fellow industry leaders.
  • John Salmon John W. Salmon is a graduate of Penn State University, the University of Florida College of Law, and holds a MBA from Florida International University where he was an adjunct faculty member in the College of Business for over 15 years. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the FIU College of Law teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution. John is a Diplomate member of National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and serves on its Executive Committee. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators and Diplomate and past President of The Florida Academy of Professional Mediators. John is on the Executive Council of the ADR Section of The Florida Bar where he previously served as Chair of the Alternative Dispute Committee of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar and as Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Mediation Committee.
